Changing Your Subconscious Programming With New Words

It might sound too easy, and yes it actually is a simple process. You’d think everyone would be doing it and having a ton of success then wouldn’t you? Changing the way your mind works is a challenge and sometimes, dare I say it, boring….but anything worth anything takes some form of mental effort doesn’t it? Even if you are manifesting and leaving it to the Universe over trying hard to change a circumstance, there is some form of mental training required. You have to first learn how to trust in something you don’t fully understand. You have to know that hard work rarely pays off when it comes to manifesting your dreams. Hard work in the mental sense not the practical action.

When people tell me they tried this and it didn’t work I say ‘You’re probably doing it to get something over doing it to improve your mindset.’ When we apply a technique in order to get that one thing that has been eluding us, we pin our hopes on it, we look for it, we observe the current 3d that doesn’t include it and we decide ‘This stuff is rubbish. It doesn’t work.’ – But it does. It works beautifully if you’d only allow the change. The issue with doing the work to get stuff is that you are constantly in a state of negative expectation. You don’t see anything change therefore you give up.

How Much Mental Work Does Reprogramming Your Mind Take?

If we are going to start with the mind over the subconscious then it might take a while. But you’ve been thinking anyway. This is no different. You’re not having to take extra time to do it. You have the same time in each case. For negative talk and for positive. Choose the one that’s going to improve your life.

What do you want to change about yourself? Are you a chronic over thinker? Do you worry a lot? Are you lacking in self esteem or confidence.

Step 1 – Write it all down. Who are you in this moment and who would you like to be. Do it like this: Write the things down that don’t serve you. Now draw a line through those words and underneath write the new you. Just a simple sentence to sum up who you’d like to be, no scrub that…. who you intend to be.

Step 2) Look at your own words and really take them in. Visualise the new you. What would you be doing in this moment? Maybe you’d be doing the same thing but with a different attitude. Maybe you’d be living the high life or in that new relationship. See it, feel it.

Step 3) Find five or six affirmations that support the new you. Use these affirmations each and every day, on and off or at set times. For me, I use them on and off all day.

Step 4) Journal your day. From the moment you got up until just before you went to bed. What happened and what positive words can you use to describe each thing? If your day was not so positive, if things happened that were not to your liking, change them. This is called revision. You revise your day to come into alignment with how you’d like it to have been. Don’t see this as lying to yourself. You are simply bringing a different vibe to the table. It’s an excellent way of re-training you brain to put a positive spin on things.

Mental Diet or a New Way of Thinking?

Watch the words you say on a daily basis. Bscome mindful of them and when you find yourself in a word funk, pull yourself back with a switch word. Any word will do. One you’ll use each and every time you need bringing back to the new version of you.

Don’t think of this as a mental diet. Diets don’t work. This is a new way of moving forward. This is a new habit that you will take with you for the rest of your life. it takes 21 days to break a habit and the same to form a new one. So, 21 days to create a good solid foundation to build on each and every day.
